From an early age, Tommy loved working on projects and the things he was passionate about. He used to do woodworking projects with his father, contributing to his overwhelming love for creating and building. For him, window treatments isn’t a job, it’s his passion for making something beautiful through a keen eye and attention to detail.
Maurer moved to the South all the way from California. He got his start in the marketing industry, and at this point was even running his own agency. After moving into the Birmingham area, he eventually got the opportunity to take over the region’s Louver Shop and took it by the horns.

He spends a lot of time playing music, and even has a few songs on Spotify! He also loves doing projects with his son and teaching him woodworking skills, just as his dad did with him. When he’s not spending time with his wife, who was born and raised in Birmingham, and two kids in Hollywood, Homewood, you may even catch him with his family watching an Atlanta Braves game.

We are remodeling our kitchen and needed a shutter removed. It was in a tricky location behind the kitchen faucet. Their installer Roger showed up the next day and removed it without any damage to the window frame or the faucet. Highly recommend them!
